Maintaining your appliances

Homes are usually equipped with an electric refrigerator, an electric or gas cooking range and an electric or gas water heater. You may also have a washer, dryer, dishwasher and garbage disposal.

The appliance manufacturer's operating instructions and warranties are either in or attached to each respective appliance. Be sure you have them and read and understand them. SAFETY ITEMS MAY BE INCLUDED IN THESE MANUALS.

Some homes are equipped with fireplaces. Be sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions for the proper use and safety precautions.
