Our Men and Women in the Armed Forces

Whether you agree with war or not, our men and women in the armed forces need our help and support. The men and women in the Kentucky National Guard who are participating in the war against terrorism and serving our country, can use our support. The Glasgow Family Support Group of the KY National Guard is requesting that churches, clubs, businesses, schools, scouts, etc. assist in the collection of needed items.

We cannot go overseas to fight this war, but we can all do our part to make the emotional and physical life better for our troops and their families with a little sacrifice on our part. Items helpful in making life better for our troops & families are:

Baby Wipes, Q-tips, Playing Cards, Board Games, Reading Material, Stationary, Pens/Pencils, Envelopes, Stamps, Chapstick - high SPF, Sunscreen - high SPF, Sunglasses, Pre-paid Phone Cards, Deodorant, Shampoo, Toothbrushes, Toothpaste, Hairbrushes, Combs, Ponytail Holders and "Bendy" Clips - DARK BROWN ONLY, Fingernail Clippers, Fingernail Files, Pantyhose, Batteries - all sizes, Disposable Cameras, Locks - any kind with a key, Non-perishable Foods and Candy - nothing that will melt or break, over the counter Medicines - i.e. Rolaids, Tylenol, Immodium, Band-aids, Neosporin etc., Letters of support, prayers and possibly an offer to be penpals.

This is by no means a complete list of what may be needed.
