Runners and Manufactured/Modular Homes

 

One type of Runner.

 

 

 

 

Runners are similar to footers. They are
poured-in-place concrete runners or ribbons.
A wooden form is first built, countersunk,
leveled and filled with concrete.

 

 

 

Another type of Runner.

 

 

Runners can run the length of the home or have a
central runner with cross-strips as shown
in the diagrams. Because of the labor
involved in the form-building process,
a full pad or slab is usually less expensive
and easier to build and level.

All foundations must meet your local building codes.
