SCALED TANKS TACTICAL COMMAND

The purpose of Scaled Tanks Tactical Command is to provide tank builders a means to enjoy the results of their labor in a safe, tank combat environment. The only requirement for membership is to have a serious committment to building a track-laying vehicle. Participation, however, requires a tank. Weapon system standardization is under development and may ultimately be paintball, nerf rocket, lazer or a combination.

The game consists of two sides, red and blue. The two sides are worldwide, it doesn't matter where in the world you are, you will be either red or blue army. Both sides will have a Commanding officer, assigned by rank. Where several high-ranking officers may be eligible, a vote may be cast, to elect. Commanding Officers will also gain awards if their side wins the yearly battle and they will be entered in to the hall of fame.

Once you have registered, you can apply to join the game by using the "apply to join" thread in the rule and regulations thread. When you have been assigned a side you cannot change, you will remain on that side for as long as you are a member. You will be assigned based on numbers, and area. For example, if there are only two members in a town, one will be assigned one side and the other member will be assigned the opposing side. The first member will have choice of side, the second member will not. If a third member then joins they will have a choice, but the forth will be assigned again and so on.

The only exception is if the admin realizes that the sides are grossly unequal, in which case a notice will be issued for interested parties to change sides, other wise the newest member to a side will be crossed over. A battle must take place between two or more tanks. The venue can be anywhere that is safe from bystanders being hurt. You must submit your standing orders to meet safety requirements for your area as well as abide by the general guidelines set out on the STTC site. The venue can then be designated as a safe area for battle, it can be a back yard, an open large area or, if permission is granted (if needed), it can even be on a local paintball field. At this point you may choose to name your battle area, for example, the Brisbane front. If there are several members in an area, or country, on one side, they may wish to name a battle group, as an example "Eastern battle brigade" which must be submitted on the site. When the two members are then engaged in battle, the idea is to shoot at the opposing tank (the opposing team).

Points will then be issued for each hit. The points will be logged and then posted on the site for the side’s grand tally worldwide. For example if at the end of the day, you have scored 12 points for the day, and you are on the red team you will enter your 12 points to red teams tally. Your opposing member will also register any points they scored as well. At the end of the year, (which will be 1st January each year to the 31 December that year will be a year) the points will be totaled and the winning side announced and the game will be zeroed and started again.
