If you buy a manufactured or modular home to use as a permanent residence, there are certain tax deductions that can be utilized just as a site built, (stick built), home would be allowed.

There are varyinglaws according to the state you live in and you should check with an accountant in the state to verrify what tax deductions apply. There are also tax deductions through the federal I.R.S. which you would have to check with an accountant or the I.R.S. about.
